💥ACCRINGTON YOUTH FEST 📸PHOTO GALLERY!

Thanks to everyone who came down to Accrington town centre on Saturday 15th August to get involved with our Youth Fest. We saw lots of happy smiling faces 😊 throughout the day, with kids and young people enjoying all the free activities on offer.

One particularly special moment was seeing Frankie Dale get on stage to do an impromptu performance with Retra Velvet 🎤 which we loved! ❤️ Thanks also to our other performers Matilda River Walden 💃 The Locals 🎸 Fresh Skillz International Breakdance Event 🎧 and 7 year-old Paige.

Massive thank you to all of our partners, Send it skatepark, Dirt Factory - Indoor Bike Park, Alternative Adventure, The Teenage Market, Lancashire Libraries and to Hyndburn Borough Council who made the event possible with their support.

Thanks also to Deputy Mayor, Cllr Stewart Eaves, for coming down in support of the young people. 🙌

And we are open! We’re in Accrington today with our free skate park, climbing wall, BMX track, Teenage Market and stage until 3pm.

You might have heard founder of Place For Youth, Joe Barratt, on BBC Radio Lancashire and Cumbria promoting all the activities that we have on. There’s loads of free stuff to do so make sure to come down and check it out!

TWO DAYS TO GO! We're really excited to bring a range of free interactive activity to Accrington this Saturday. Make sure to come down to Broadway from 10am - 3pm and check it all out.

As well as a free skate park, BMX track and climbing wall, we also have a Teenage Market with young traders selling their handmade products and a stage which will feature performances from bands, dance groups and breakdancers throughout the day.

🎤 Calling All Local Young Performers of Accrington! 🌟

We're looking for talented young people to perform on the Accrington Youth Fest Stage on Saturday 15th August in Accrington Town Centre!

Our stage will be running from 10:00am – 3:00pm, and we'd love to showcase as much amazing local talent as possible.

We're looking for:
🎶 Singers
💃 Dancers
🎭 Performers of all kinds

All ages are welcome, and we're especially keen to hear from local young talent who'd like the opportunity to perform in front of the community.

We've been out in the sun this week ☀️ giving out flyers for our upcoming Accrington Youth Fest event taking place in the town centre on Saturday 15th August from 10am - 3pm. 🥳

We've visited schools, libraries and local businesses in and around Accrington to drop off leaflets and spread the word. If you know of anyone who would be happy to take some flyers to help us get the message out even further, do let us know.

We'll be providing a free BMX pop-up pump track, skate park, climbing wall, breakdancing, stage and The Teenage Market and want as many young people to benefit from the free offer and opportunities as possible. 🙌

🛹 FREE SKATEPARK COMING TO ACCRINGTON! 🛴

We’re excited to announce that Send it skatepark will be joining us on Saturday 15th August to deliver a completely FREE pop-up skate park in Accrington town centre!

Whether you’re a complete beginner or already know your way around a skatepark, come along and have a go. Skates, skateboards and scooters will all be provided, so you don’t need to bring your own equipment.
