Please ensure you use the name displayed on your British Triathlon membership profile when entering into races in the series. This is really important in aiding the correct allocation of points towards your current standings.

Brand new event - SBR Mini Portsmouth happening on 26th January 2025. Come and try this bite sized event where you will swim 50m and run 1km. Open to adults, children and families. (For the family wave, children must remain in line of sight at all times).

We would like to welcome our new committee members who were elected at our AGM.

Firstly a big thank you to Clare Lawrence who has been on the committee for a number of years in a few different roles and has agreed to be our Treasurer .

Next we have Nicki Farrell who will be our brand new Diversity Coordinator, we are looking forward to having this important new role in the region , thank you Nicki .

Finally we have Paul Smith who is rejoining the committee after a number of years of absence . Paul will be our website coordinator and we are so happy to have his help again!

We are still looking for a Social Media and Comms Coordinator if anyone would be interested !

On behalf of the South Central committee i would like to say a huge thank you to both Lee Rhodes (Treasurer, previous Vice Chair and Chair) and Lisa Webb (Junior Series coordinator) for all their support, help, management and contribution over the last few years. You will be very missed by everyone in the committee.

Also thank you to all the clubs, junior athletes and parents who came to the AGM yesterday. Please feel free to send any feedback or ideas for the region to me and i will pass onto the committee [email protected]

Please remember our message to get your votes in to the Triathlon England awards ! We need to get lots of nominations this year so we can really thank our volunteers and recognise the amazing work going on in the South Central region.

Have you registered for the 2024 South Central AGM and our inaugural South Central team relay on the 3rd November?!

Enter in teams of three from age 9+ - family, club mates, friends all welcome to form a team of 3!

Agenda:

9am - Regional Relays - all ages welcome - age 9+. Enter this fun event in teams of three. More information and to enter https://www.britishtriathlon.org/events/radley-swim-run-duathlon-relays_16019

Each team member will complete a 100m swim, and then once the swim has been completed they will each complete a 1.2km run.

11am - Observation opportunity of SC Regional Acdemy
