✨ Final taster announcement for Paris Midnight Blues ✨

Our last taster workshop is here: Dancehall with Romane 🔥

Romane is a 32-year-old Dancehall instructor who has been teaching for the past 8 years. She works with community organizations across Seine-Saint-Denis, Seine-et-Marne, and Oise, sharing her passion for dance with diverse audiences.

Born in Jamaica in the 1970s, Dancehall is both a dance style and music genre that has grown throughout the Caribbean before spreading worldwide. In the 2000s, artists like Sean Paul helped popularize Dancehall internationally, including in France.

A codified dance style built around two branches — Badman Style and Dancehall Gyal — Dancehall is fluid, dynamic, and expressive, offering a wide range of movement qualities for everyone to connect with.

What Romane loves most about Dancehall is the balance between body release and movement precision: a mix of freedom, groove, and technical accuracy.

We’re so excited to welcome Adamo Ciarallo as a teacher at Paris Midnight Blues 2026. Known for his musical approach, creativity, and deep connection to blues movement, Adamo will guide you through exploring rhythm, texture, and personal expression in the Solo Blues track.

Solo Blues isn’t just about dancing alone — it’s also a powerful way to improve your partner dancing. Working on your own movement helps develop musicality, body awareness, groove, and confidence, all of which translate directly into deeper connection and richer conversations on the dance floor.

Whether you already love dancing solo or you’re curious to develop new tools, expand your vocabulary, and challenge yourself in a supportive environment, this track is designed to inspire and push your dancing further.

🔥 BAND : BROTHER YUSEF 🔥
This is the last musician we’re announcing for the festival — and what a way to close the line-up.
Brother Yusef is simply incredible. We’ve been dancing to his music for years, sharing it with our students as one of the essential voices of contemporary blues. His tracks are played on the dancefloors of the biggest international blues events, and welcoming him to the festival feels truly special 🔥

Brother Yusef is a self-taught powerhouse: a master solo guitarist and a deeply passionate vocalist. For more than thirty years, he has forged his own unmistakable sound — Fattback Blues — a raw and gritty fusion of Delta, Chicago, and Texas blues, driven by the unstoppable stomp of Louisiana rhythm. His music is real, visceral, and rooted deep in the soul of the blues.

Armed with just a guitar, he creates the drive of a full band. His right-hand thumb lays down a relentless percussive bass while his fingers weave rhythm and lead, blending traditional fingerpicking and slide guitar with the punch of urban blues, rock, and funk. Every note carries intensity, fire, and total commitment — turning the blues into something primal, alive, and electrifying.

From sanctified churches to juke joints, street corners, and festival stages around the world, Brother Yusef delivers a blues experience that is felt as much as it is heard. A true one-man band, he stomps, grooves, and testifies with every song, pouring heart, grit, and soul into the dancefloor.

We’ve been waiting for this for years — and we are beyond excited to finally welcome Brother Yusef for all three nights of the festival 🔥🔥🔥

🔥 BAND : MOJO BLUES BAND 🔥
Mojo Blues Band made a strong impression last year with their incredible energy and irresistible groove — and we are more than happy to welcome them back this year 🔥

A Mojo is an amulet taking the shape of a flannel bag which contains various magical or spiritual objects. Finding its origins in African-American hoodoo folklore, it is a symbol of good luck and the power of attraction.
Mojo Blues Band will be the lucky charm during your dances on Saturday evening; the band covers songs ranging from the classic to more contemporary tunes, playing spiritual, sensual, aggrieved or otherwise loving and playful blues!

We can’t wait to dance on their music on Friday night 🔥🔥

It’s time to keep unveiling the bands of our festival — and once again, this year’s line-up is bringing some serious heat.

For the very first time at our festival, we are thrilled to welcome Around Midnight.
A trio already well known on the Rennes scene, especially among dancers, they know exactly how to make the music groove and the dancefloor come alive 🔥

Looking for an evening where music resonates just as much as dance? Around Midnight is the perfect trio to set the mood.
Juliette Chevalier’s intense and expressive voice, supported by Arnaud Lacarte’s virtuosic guitar playing and Hugues Lasserre’s deep, elegant double bass lines, creates an irresistible atmosphere. Between joy, intensity and emotion, let yourself be carried away by a living, breathing music — made to be fully shared on the dancefloor.
