Meet Prism — our way of turning leftover threads into something beautiful.

Half soft, non-superwash Merino. Half recycled La Bien Aimée yarn bits — a mix of all our bases, blended right into the wool. 🧶

The result? A truly heathered, prismatic effect. Tiny variations of color, woven into every strand.

The basketweave textured stitch of my new shawl pattern, Gingham, looks great with different yarns. I wanted to knit it in Big Merino to explore the texture of Single ply yarn. The Bulky weight creates a more substantial accessory with warmth and great drape.

This version uses 3 skeins of Big Merino in the color Confetti Cake. It is available as a yarn bundle online. The pattern includes instructions on how to adapt it to any yarn weight and quantity, so you can make your perfect Gingham in your favorite yarn 🧶

I made these original versions using La Bien Aimée Prism, our wonderful recycled and woolen-spun yarn.

This yarn is very special to me as it blends 50% of our recycled yarn threads, which are blended into the fiber before spinning, creating a beautiful heathered yarn.
