We have said it before, and we'll say it again (and again, and again): play is the most natural way for children to learn. Plus it's heaps of fun, for children and for teachers.
Different kinds of play teach different kinds of skills, and everything children need to learn can be wrapped in playful activities. Play gives children a way to regulate their emotions and process things they see in their daily life. And in this day and age, that is sorely needed.
But play is more than just the activities. It's a mindset. When we approach our young learners, learning, and the world playfully, we are better able to connect with them and step into their shoes. And we believe that this will make us better teachers.
