To speak of MASSACRA is to speak of one of the most revered pioneering bands from the early and explosive years of the French extreme metal scene.
Formed in 1986, the band quickly developed an aggressive and uncompromising style through their early demo recordings. The release of “Final Holocaust” (1990) and “Enjoy The Violence” (1991), now regarded as classic Death/Thrash Metal albums, earned MASSACRA widespread recognition across Europe and established them among the continent’s elite acts of the era.
Sadly, the untimely death of the band's leader, Fred Duval, brought the story of MASSACRA to an end.
Determined to keep the band's legacy alive, original MASSACRA drummer Chris Palengat founded MASSACRA LEGACY. Performing songs from the legendary albums “Final Holocaust” and “Enjoy The Violence”, the band will make their first-ever appearance in Spain with an exclusive performance at DRUMS OF WAR on Thursday, August 27th.
This special show will celebrate the enduring legacy of one of the most important and influential bands in the history of French extreme metal.

𝗠𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗔𝗖𝗥𝗔 𝗟𝗘𝗚𝗔𝗖𝗬 – 𝟰𝟬 𝗔Ñ𝗢𝗦 𝗗𝗘 𝗠𝗘𝗧𝗔𝗟 𝗘𝗫𝗧𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗢 𝗙𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗖É𝗦
Hablar de MASSACRA es hacerlo de una de las formaciones pioneras más recordadas de aquellos primeros y efervescentes años en la escena francesa.
Formados en 1986, tras desarrollar un estilo agresivo y contundente en sus primeras demos, la edición de Final Holocaust (1990) y Enjoy The Violence (1991), discos clásicos de Death/Thrash metal, que supusieron un absoluto reconocimiento a nivel europeo, grandes trabajos con los que compitieron a primer nivel en la época.
Tristemente, la prematura muerte de Fred Duval, líder de la banda, puso fin a la andadura de MASSACRA.
Chris Palengat, batería original de MASSACRA, con la idea de mantener vivo el legado de la banda, puso en marcha MASSACRA LEGACY, los cuales interpretarán canciones de los clásicos “Final Holocaust” y “Enjoy The Violence” por primera vez en España y con fecha exclusiva en el DRUMS OF WAR el jueves 27 de agosto, en lo que será la celebración del legado de una de las bandas más importantes de Francia.
