Ostiralean Getxophotoren historiako lanik ikonikoenetako bati agur esan genion: Sirenoa. Marcos López argazkilari argentinarraren lana da, 2007an Jaialdiaren lehenengo edizioan aurkeztutakoa. Polemika, txutxu-mutxu, teleberri eta prentsa-artikuluen protagonista izan da nahi gabe, eta, beraz, agur bero bat merezi zuen. Eskerrik asko -i zuen energia onarekin kalejira girotzeagatik eta Sirenoari onena opatzeko hurbildu zen jende guztiari!

El viernes despedimos una de las obras más icónicas de la historia de Getxophoto: El Sireno. Obra del fotógrafo argentino Marcos López presentada en la primera edición del festival en 2007 y que ha sido protagonista involuntario de polémicas, chismes, teleberris y artículos de prensa, por lo que se merecía un adiós por todo lo alto. Gracias a por haber amenizado la kalejira con vuestro buena energía y a toda la gente que se acercó para desearle lo mejor al Sireno!

On Friday, we bid farewell to one of the most iconic works in the history of Getxophoto: El Sireno. Created by Argentinian photographer Marcos López and presented at the festival’s first edition in 2007, it has been the unwitting subject of controversy, gossip, TV talk shows and press articles, so it deserved a grand send-off. Thanks to for livening up the street party with your great energy, and to everyone who came along to wish El Sireno all the best!

Atzo Opening 01-a ospatu genuen Algortako erdigunetik. Plazer bat izan zen Maria Ptqk gure komisarioaren, Jon Uriarteren eta edizio honetako artista askoren eskutik aurtengo proposamen kuratoriala sakonki ezagutzea. Gainera, Sirenoaren omenaldia egin genuen eta kalejira musikatuaz gozatu genuen, Mambo Express kumbia eta rock taldearen eskutik. Eskerrik asko etortzeagatik! Getxophoto hasi da!

Ayer celebramos el Opening 01 por el centro de Algorta. Fue un gusto conocer a fondo la propuesta curatorial de la mano de nuestra comisaria María Ptqk, junto con Jon Uriarte, nuestro comisario digital, y muchas de las artistas de esta edición. Y para cerrar la noche, le dijimos adiós al Sireno como se merece: con la kalejira musicada de Mambo Express. ¡Gracias por acompañarnos! ¡Seguimos!

Yesterday we celebrated Opening 01 through the streets of Algorta. It was a pleasure to dive into the curatorial vision alongside our curator María Ptqk and our digital curator Jon Uriarte, joined by many of the artists of this edition. Si vienes en metro, desde la parada de Algorta podrás visitar muchas de las propuestas y además queda muy cerca del Punto Info -no olvides pasar por aquí a por tu folleto-. Desde la parada de Neguri puedes llegar caminando a Ereaga y las Galerías de Punta Begoña.
