John is one of the most accomplished wine professionals in the Southeast. In addition to being the founder of Nouvelle, Kentuckys premier destination for fine wine, Champagne, and thoughtful hospitality, he holds an impressive list of wine certifications and credentials. However, the title that truly sets him apart is his designation as a Master of Champagne through the French Scholar Guild—making him the only person in Kentucky to hold that distinction.

John’s passion for wine education, Champagne culture, and connecting people through great bottles has made him a sought-after voice in the wine world. Whether discussing grower Champagne, terroir, production methods, or the perfect bottle for a special occasion, his knowledge runs deep while remaining approachable and engaging.

⛳🍷 Oxford Uncorked is excited to welcome Buck Williams to Oxford for our 2026 festival lineup!

Many know Buck as one of Louisiana’s top amateur golfers, with victories including the prestigious Mackel Golf Championship and standout performances in the Louisiana Amateur Championship. When he’s not chasing birdies on the golf course, you’ll find him pursuing another passion—great wine.

As Vino Wholesale, Buck spends his time discovering, tasting, and sharing exciting wines from around the world with restaurants, retailers, and wine lovers across Louisiana. Vino Wholesale is also known for importing and distributing some of the finest names in Burgundy, bringing world-class producers to wine lovers throughout the region.

And for those keeping score at home, Buck has officially seen the light after years as an LSU fan and joined the Ole Miss fan base as of 2025. So we’re happy to say, welcome back to Oxford, MS!

We’re thrilled to have Buck pouring alongside an incredible lineup of producers, importers, and wine professionals at Oxford Uncorked 2026. Whether you want to talk golf, wine, Burgundy, or Ole Miss football, be sure to stop by and raise a glass with him.

We’re thrilled to welcome Chef Chaz Lindsay to Oxford Uncorked 2026!

A Mississippi native and one of the most exciting culinary talents in the South, Chaz has built an incredible résumé that includes time in some of America’s most celebrated kitchens, including Craft, Colicchio & Sons, and the legendary Eleven Madison Park in New York City. After training at the Culinary Institute of America and spending time cooking in Italy, Chaz returned home to Mississippi with a vision of creating something uniquely his own.

Today, he’s the chef and owner of Pulito Osteria in Jackson, a MICHELIN-selected restaurant that has quickly become one of the state’s most acclaimed dining destinations. Known for handmade pastas, seasonal ingredients, and a style that blends Italian tradition with Southern hospitality, Chaz’s cooking is thoughtful, ingredient-driven, and deeply rooted in place.

What makes Chaz’s story even better? He came home to the Belhaven neighborhood where he grew up and built one of Mississippi’s most celebrated restaurants just blocks from where he rode his bike as a kid.

We’re excited to have Chef Chaz join us this July as we bring together some of the wine world’s most exciting producers, importers, and culinary talent for a day of incredible food, wine, and conversation.

After more than two decades in hospitality and wine leadership roles, Rick now brings that experience and deep producer relationships to Grand Cru Selections.

Founded in New York City, Grand Cru Selections has built a reputation as one of the country’s most respected importers and distributors, representing a collection of growers and winemakers whose focus is authenticity, terroir, and craftsmanship. 🍷 WELCOME TO OXFORD UNCORKED, DARREN PALACE! 🍷

We’re thrilled to welcome Darren to Oxford Uncorked and even more excited to have the wines of Sandhi, Evening Land, and Piedrasassi back in Mississippi.

🏡 From Family Traditions to Fine Wine

Raised in northern New Jersey in a close-knit Italian-Irish family, Darren’s appreciation for wine began around the dinner table, where food, wine, family, and tradition came together. Those early experiences sparked a lifelong passion for wine’s unique ability to connect people.

🍇 From Finance to the Cellar

After earning degrees in Finance and Art, Darren followed his passion and made a life-changing decision in 2007, leaving his finance career to help launch Red Hook Winery in Brooklyn. Over six years, he immersed himself in every aspect of winemaking, ultimately serving as Assistant Winemaker and General Manager.

🌎 A Coast-to-Coast Wine Journey

Darren’s career eventually led him west, where he worked in Napa Valley and represented some of California and Oregon’s most celebrated Pinot Noir and Chardonnay producers through Failla Wines. Along the way, he built a reputation for creating lasting relationships through wine while helping grow iconic brands nationwide.

Darren serves as National Sales Manager while remaining actively involved in production for Sandhi, Evening Land, Domaine de la Côte, and Piedrasassi. His hands-on experience helped shape the 2020, 2021, and 2022 vintages from these acclaimed wineries.
