The Miss OECS Queen Pageant is truly a remarkable event that celebrates the exceptional talents, intelligence, poise, and charm of young women throughout the OECS. It's inspiring to see that the pageant is not just about beauty, but also about creating a platform for our partners to promote their brands. The show provides a unique opportunity to showcase the individual countries and their unique characteristics,and it's no surprise that it has captured the attention of people from all over the world, from the Caribbean and Latin America to Europe, the United States, and Canada. With its broad target market and worldclass reputation, the Miss OECS Queen Pageant is truly a marketable product that has made a significant impact on the global stage. The show creates a wonderful opportunity for the participants to become Ambassadors on various levels. The Main Ambassador Level is that of an Ambassador to their representing country. Finally, the winner, Ms OECS, will serve as an ambassador for young ladies and youth of the Caribbean. In comparison to other pageants, Miss OECS is unique. It is recognized across the Caribbean for displaying arts, culture, music, and pageantry. Miss OECS is held in January, coinciding with the Carnival Celebrations of the Commonwealth of Dominica.

As part of the ongoing OECS Council of Ministers: Environmental Sustainability Meeting currently being hosted in Dominica, Miss OECS 2026 Tanisha Balson also graced the event with her presence.

During the engagement, she met with OECS Director General Dr. Didacus Jules and toured the various booths at the exhibition at the Parish Hall, interacting with stakeholders and gaining insight into the region’s ongoing environmental sustainability and climate resilience initiatives.
