NOA is a non-profit organization, a network of free thinking Afghans in exile working to pave the road for an open society in Afghanistan through joint activities of Afghan- western civil society activists and organizations. NOA is also working on social and intercultural activities for better understanding and integration. NOA is independent of all political, religious and economic interests and

does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sex, age, ethnic origin, or other personal factor.

Network for open Afghanistans representative and member Samira Ehrari is at the moment attending a seven day long conference in Hammamet.

The event takes place at the Mediterranean University on Youth & Global Citizenship
With focus on knowing and networking, use & sharing experiences with other people from around the world.

These are picture from the first day which is mostly about networking and socializing but also about creating a common understanding for refugees, migrants and asylum seekers.

Network for open Afghanistan’s representative and member Samira Ehrari took part in two consultation events - labelled, Afghan diaspora engagement for displaced Afghans, arranged by DRC in Copenhagen and Stockholm. The idea was to map Afghan diaspora in Denmark and Sweden to identify key challenges that diaspora organizations face in finding long term solutions to displacement. Prepare solutions and identify potential cooperation between diaspora organizations and other NGOs, INGOs, specially DRC. Our organization has immensely contributed to share our knowledge of Afghan diaspora and challenges of displaced Afghans. We have also shared our practical and creative solutions to the challenges.

Today NOA attended the Afghan Filmfestival in Copenhagen. Khalida Popalzai, the founder and programme director of Afghanistan women's football team, was the guest of honor. She was interviewed about the recent achievements of Afghanistan women's football by a NOA volunteer. Khalida is one brave and amazing women who has done much for Afghanistan and for women's rights! We wish her all the best! The Afghan filmfestival has been arranged by many Afghan and non afghans, only to create awareness about Afghanistan, our culture, traditions and hospitality. The festival lasts until the 21st of April. Check out the event here:
