HARD LESSONS x IDIOTEQ

We’re fu***ng stoked to be featured in IDIOTEQ with a full piece about INFLUX OF BETRAYAL.

This isn’t just a quick review or a couple of quotes. The article digs into the story behind the EP — why we wanted six different guest vocalists, how each voice was chosen for a specific track, bringing 4Pro and rap into the record, the mysterious seventh voice hiding in the intro, our connection with Merauder and Kingside Records, the Danish hardcore scene, and what comes next for Hard Lessons.

It also touches on something that is important to us:

Hardcore is the reason we met these people in the first place.

Every feature on this record came from people, friendships, shows, tours and connections built through this music. That’s what Influx Of Betrayal is really about.

INSUFFERABLE — FEAT. DAAN / BECOMING A.D.

INSUFFERABLE was just played on the latest episode of SORT SØNDAG, and we’re honestly humbled by the praise for both the track and INFLUX OF BETRAYAL.

Huge thanks to Anders Bøtter and Jakob Trolle for including us and giving the EP some love. ❤️

The track also sparked a little debate around the record:
Can you have too many features? Did Hard Lessons really need six guest vocalists?

Honestly? Probably not.
But we wanted to do it.

We live this music. We live for the community. And we wanted to see if we could actually pull something like this off.

Pain Of Truth did it. We wanted to do it too. ;)

So we reached out to people we respect, people we’ve shared stages and good times with, and people we simply wanted to have on a Hard Lessons record.

Daan from Becoming A.D. is one of those people. We met through SOS Fest, shared a stage, and a friendship happened. These guys are some of the best and sweetest people in the game. ❤️

So yeah — maybe we didn’t need all those features.
We fu***ng wanted them.
And that’s good enough for us.

Der var fantastisk stemning, masser af hygge, god lyd og virkelig fed musik i det gamle forsamlingshus i lørdags.

Fire velsmurte, veloplagte bands fyrede den af, som gjaldt det livet! Og sammen fejrede vi udgivelsen af Hard Lessons nye EP, Influx of Betrayal!

Tak til Hard Lessons, Gravery, Hemispherectomy og Chlorate for optrædenerne.

Også tak til med-arrangører, frivillige, Madkareten, Eddison og ikke mindst Anger x Rage Booking, som er virkelig herlig at samarbejde med!
