Grand Prix Bad Homburg - The Story

40.1 GRAND PRIX BAD HOMBURG, A VIRTUAL-CRIT RACE WEEK OF CHARITY AND A 2,000 EURO PRIZE PURSE. Bad Homburg, Germany, July 20th - The virtual race week of the "40.1 Grand Prix of Bad Homburg" - will take place from July 20th to 26th on ROUVY! The events offer you the chance to ride alongside the German pros online in support of the Global Polio Eradication Initiative. In addition, riders in the GP Homburg race will join the public testing of ROUVY drafting which will be activated in the race automatically.

Grand Prix Homburg, the Rotary Cycling Team of Homburg and ROUVY are proud to team up with the Global Polio Eradication Initiative to launch a special charity pre-event called, “End Polio GP Bad Homburg”. Before Sunday’s main race, riders can get a sneak peek at the augmented track during “End Polio GP Bad Homburg” - charity event which runs until Saturday at 18:00 CEST.Join the ride and motivate everyone to donate resources for the fight with polio disease. Each participant of the event using 'race mode' will have a special End Polio jersey kit unlocked by Saturday evening. Already, the world has reduced Polio 99.99 percent in new incidences. In 2020, Pakistan and Afghanistan, however, have yet to be declared polio-free. Tax eligible donations are being accepted by the Homburg Rotary Cycling Team here.

The Rides to End Polio race opens and runs from Monday the 20th of July at 18:00 CEST and ends Saturday the 25th of July at 18:00 CEST on a relaxed 2km Bad Homburg course segment.

Sunday’s plan includes two races on the 40km, one for Juniors (a race for youths who are 17 years old or younger starts at 9:45 a.m. CEST).The Junior race offers the next generation of cyclists to show their stuff on the track.
