Central European Enduro 2017
MTB Enduro is the youngest MTB discipline but last couple years it is getting more and more attention from riders, media and sponsors. What is the most important about enduro is the fact that it is the mix of fun on bike with your friends, adrenaline, great riding, knowing new places and sometimes overcoming limits as well. We see such a big potential in this attracti
ve race format so we decided to push it further beyond the boarders of central European countries. We, Czech team together with Enduro Trails from Poland, put together our ideas and started to form Central European Enduro series at the end of last year. After several meetings we included into this project the best enduro race in Slovakia, CTM ENDURO RACE Kálnica, and the biggest race in Germany, Enduro in Treuchtlingen. We put together 5 amazing locations to offer riders from central Europe the best possible racing stages. The Central European Enduro Series 2017 is ready for you and it is our pleasure to introduce you 5 great races in 4 European countries. Mark these dates and locations in your calendar and we believe that we will meet at the starting gate of the following events:
20-21st May 2017 - Specialized Enduro Race Kouty – Czech Republic
27-28th May 2017 - CTM Enduro Race Kálnica - Slovakia
24-25th June 2017 Giant Enduro Trails in Bielsko-Biala - Poland
16-17th September 2017 - Giant Enduro Race Spicak - Czech Republic
14-15th October 2017 - Enduro in Treuchtlingen– Germany
You will be able to find all information about the series on www.europeanenduro.com (web page will be ready in couple days). All information about individual races is published on webpage of each organizer. Every race has slightly different rules depending on specific needs of each location and country, so please follow each web page to find all info and registration dates/conditions on their website. For the final series ranking we will count together 4 best results out of 5 races. Great motivation for the fastest riders will definitely be total price money of 2500EUR! Overall ranking will be in 4 categories:
M U21 Men 17-20 years 2000-1997
M 21-39 21-39 years 1996-1978
M Masters 40 and more Under 1977
W 17+ 17 and more Under 2000
The overall ranking will be calculated and published on the CEEN website www.europeanenduro.com while the registration will be processed on the websites of each individual race organizers. Specialized Enduro Race Kouty (www.enduroserie.cz)
Specialized Enduro Race Kouty with its 5 year history is one of the oldest enduro races in the Czech Republic. It takes place in the beautiful ski resort Kouty in the northeastern part of the country. The resort offers perfect facilities including on site accommodation, restaurant, bike service etc.,. The measured stages are located in the bike park or in its close vicinity, it offers perfect combination of bike park and natural trails. In the training day the chair lift helps riders to overcome ascent of over 600 meters and makes the day more enjoyable. The race consists of up to 5 measured stages for Race category. CTM Enduro Race in Kalnica is the biggest enduro race in Slovakia and it is part of the well-known Bikefest festival with thousands of visitors, bikers and bike fans. During this weekend bikers and visitor could test many bikes from different bike brands, there are couple other bike races like downhill, dual slalom, pumptrack, slopestyle, big air contest, cross country eliminator and MTB marathon race. There are some smaller side events together with interesting program for kids. Enduro race will take you up to higher mountains where you will enjoy beautiful views with amazing single-tracks that will bring you down to the festival site. Giant Enduro Trails in Bielsko Biala (www.endurotrails.pl)
Couple years ago there was the first „Enduro Trails” race on „Kozia Góra” in Bielsko-Biała. Mostly because organizers designed and prepared new trails especially for the race, the event was very successful from the racing point of view as well as in promoting enduro as an active recreation. Since that time Enduro Trials designed and built more than 30 kilometers of single-tracks, not only challenging trails for the races, but also easier ones for amateurs and hobby bikers. Most of the trails are now available in local trail park (http://endurotrails.pl/sciezki/) and in surrounding mountain ranges of Silesian Beskid and Little Beskid (Beskid Śląski i Mały). In the resort there is also a gondola lift, trailcentre with rental bikes, restaurants, hotels and other facilities. Great location with big potential and pure enduro spirit. Giant Enduro Race Spicak (www.enduroserie.cz)
Enduro Race in Spicak is happening in one of the biggest and well-known bike park in the Czech Republic. Every year there is IXS European downhill cup, the biggest DH race in Czech, and it is one of the favorite stop of the European downhill series. Enduro race in Spicak is not just about bike park riding but the stages will take you to amazing places of Sumava Mountain with really nice views. Great trails in combination of nice nature will make the race really unforgettable! Enduro in Treuchtlingen (www.enduro-treuchtlingen.com)
The final event of the series will be Treuchtlingen in Germany and will finish the Enduro season in October. There will be 7 stages ready for Elite Men, Women, U21 and Pro Master categories. The course will be 33 kilometers long and together with 930 vertical meters on the program we can expect some exciting racing. The open classes have to ride 5 stages and a total track length of 22 kilometers and 600 vertical meters. The RC Germania Weißenburg as the organizing club has once again put in a high effort and will present a nice course with a typical upland character. This race will be the right final event of Central European Enduro 2017!
