✨Potnia Theron now represents the experimental repertoire of Seth Horvitz, best known as Rrose (Rrose ╪ Eaux), spanning concert works, new compositions, spatial sound and A/V performance.
Since the early 2010s, releases on Sandwell District, Stroboscopic Artefacts and Eaux have made Rrose one of contemporary techno’s most distinctive voices, with a practice informed by ongoing interests in microtonality, the limits of perception and the idiosyncrasies of machines. In parallel, Horvitz has long developed an experimental concert and compositional practice across concert halls, museums and festivals, encompassing authored and interpretive works, acoustic instrumentation, spatial sound and audiovisual performance. Potnia will give this existing and expanding body of work dedicated representation and support its further development across concert, festival and institutional contexts.
This Wednesday September 30th in Berlin, Rrose presents a new work for automated pipe organ at AGGREGATE Festival / Konzerthaus Berlin.
