After years as competitors, they’re finally on the same side of the net.

In BEACH SISTERS, Swiss-Caribbean beach volleyball sisters Anouk and Zoé Vergé-Dépré join forces for their first season as a team. With the 2028 LA Olympics as their goal, they must learn to become a team without losing what makes them family.

Through tournaments, pressure, illness and sponsorship deals, BEACH SISTERS offers an intimate portrait of sisterhood, ambition and elite sport.

🎙️ Mediawan's COO Matthieu Thollin joins Seriesly Berlin!

Seriesly Berlin will welcome Matthieu Thollin, Chief Operating Officer of Mediawan International, for a fireside chat following his appointment in June 2026.

His appointment comes as Mediawan celebrates its tenth anniversary. Today, the leading European independent studio brings together nearly 100 production companies across 15 countries, producing more than 450 titles each year while operating across the entire value chain—from production and distribution to broadcasting.

The conversation is shaped by Mediawan's vision of an ecosystem of entrepreneurial production companies—one that combines creative independence with collaboration across borders.

In his new role, Matthieu Thollin is responsible for strengthening collaboration and co-production across Mediawan's international ecosystem of production companies. He also coordinates the activity of the labels internationally, particularly in Europe and Africa, alongside Elisabeth d'Arvieu, Mediawan's Group Chief Content Officer and CEO of Mediawan Pictures.

This offers a perspective on how intellectual property, creative talent, and international partnerships are shaping the next chapter of European scripted content.

As the European audiovisual industry continues to redefine models for collaboration and financing, Thollin's perspective reflects the opportunities and challenges of bringing together creative entrepreneurship, international partnerships, and locally rooted storytelling—issues that are increasingly shaping the future of Europe's scripted content landscape.

🎟️ Join us at the Seriesly Berlin Conference this September.
Early Bird rate on the accreditation are still available until August 10.

Right before the weekend, our Project Selection Experts have officially completed the review process for this year's Seriesly Berlin Pitch Sessions.

With more than 250 submissions—our biggest response yet—we're thrilled to have welcomed several new experts to the team this year. Bringing together diverse backgrounds and industry experience, they dedicated the past weeks to evaluating this outstanding range of projects and helping shape the selection for Seriesly Berlin. Thank you Anna Göpfert, Ioanina Pavel, Bente Schill, Samya Hafsaoui, Jakub Knott, Filson Ali, Bastian Asdonk, Julia Wiedel and Dennis Ruh for your time, commitment and sharp eyes throughout this year's selection process.

After a well-deserved weekend, we'll come together to make the final selection. From more than 250 submitted projects, a curated lineup of the most promising new series will be invited to pitch in front of international producers, broadcasters, platforms and financing partners.

Before we reveal the finalists, we'd like to introduce the people behind this year's review process.
