NAIDOC Cup festival 2025!!!
The sun finally came out and what a day it provided us. Culture, community and sportsmanship were at its finest.
The Indigenous Dream Team and the GLC ALlStars took to the field and played an inspired game of footy. Both teams showed skill, resilience and team work. After the final whistle, it was the Dream Team who wrestled the trophy back with a convincing 44-18 victory!! The day was once again a success.
Massive thanks to all who turned up to support this event. A special thanks to Newcastle Spiral Spuds , Youth Express, Dani from Woodberry SACC and the Minimbah Dance Group for coming and sharing with the community. Thanks to the boys on the BBQ, Craig and David, and the wonderful team from the Inclusive Communities Committee for all your help. A huge thank you to Nina for everything that you did behind the scenes to make the day a success. Thank you to all of our GLC schools for the management of students and events this year.
We're already looking forward to next year.
