Last week we had the great pleasure of organising a tour for the brilliant Brandon Hill Chamber Orchestra, who played three wonderful concerts - in Třeboň, ZÁMEK Konojedy and in Prague.

Brandon Hill Chamber Orchestra is a Bristol-based ensemble consisting of both amateur and professional musicians. They are one of the finest orchestras of that type in the UK and they perform with some of the most exciting conductors and soloists on the professional circuit, bringing classical music to audiences in Bristol and the South West of England. We warmly encourage you to see them in concert! 🫶

We were honored to host an unforgettable evening celebrating Czech music and history! 👏

On October 28, 2025, the German orchestra Junge Kammerphilharmonie Sachsen and the male choir Ffortissibros, led by Benedikt Kantert, performed at the Church of St. Simon and St. Jude in Prague, paying a heartfelt tribute to Czech composers.

The concert opened with Dvořák’s Hussite Overture, followed by Smetana’s symphonic poems Vltava, Tábor, and Blaník from the iconic cycle Má vlast.

The second half of the evening was devoted to Miloslav Kabeláč, one of the most significant Czech composers of the 20th century. His Jewish Prayer, the cycle Six Male Choruses on poems by Jiří Wolker, and the cantata Do Not Retreat! (Neustupujte!, 1939) powerfully reflected themes of resistance, faith, and national identity.
