Today First Ladies International Network President and founder Mummy Martha Monono Kombe had a session with Buea First Ladies, and here is a summary of the teaching.
Topic: How to Build your Social Network.
*You are not wealthy if you don't have a strong social capital.
*Let your social capital be heavy.
*Always ask what can I give and give out not what you get.
*Rich people are often neglected.
*Build your social network. Your relationships are your real worth.
Some relationships are going to pay off latter in life not necessarily now.
One of the ways to build lasting relationships is learning to Trust people.
Little things you can do to keep relationships.
- Sacrifices
- Trust
- Gifts
*Learn to go deeper avoid keeping only shallow relationships. Its good to be Vulnerable sometimes.
*God use people to shape us.Growth will never happen when you are isolated. Isolation is unhealthy. Community will help expose our blind spots.
*Maintaining a relationship takes continuous effort, honesty, and care rather than thinking everything will just happen.
*Who is in your address book?
*What you send out, comes back. What you sow, you reap. What you give, you get.
*Volunteering is a very strong way to build social capital 💪.
It's never what they give but its the knowledge I gain by observation and the opportunity I have serving in another man's business.
*Mothers be intentional about parenting.
Train a child to know they can stand tall anywhere...no complex.
*Come out from your comfort zone and build relationships.
*Integrity can't be traded!
What are you known for?
Are you reliable?.
*A goal or a dream is just an idea until you decide to support it.
*Real support means giving your time, focus, finances and energy to make the vision real. When you commit, you stop hesitating and start giving your all.
*Maintaining a relationship with a high-profile individual requires shifting from a mindset of impression to one of value.
They do not need your admiration; they need your reliability, your discretion.
*Discretion is the ultimate currency. Never share their personal details, private conversations, or location without permission.
*Also take note that you should focus on how you can support their vision or bring positivity to their life without immediately asking for favors.
*Never take access for granted. Earn it, maintain it and respect it.
