Introducing the artists who play our FGN guitars and basses!

Today’s featured artist is, Ivan Budaić from Croatia!

Ivan Budaić, also known as Buda, is a Croatian guitarist from Osijek and a prominent figure in the regional punk and hardcore scene. He is best known as a guitarist for the melodic punk band Debeli Precjednik, internationally known as Fat Prezident, one of Croatia’s most influential punk acts.

Before joining Debeli Precjednik, Budaić played guitar in the Osijek hardcore band This Day Will Burn, where he developed a heavier, hardcore-influenced playing style. His background in both hardcore and melodic punk helped shape his distinctive guitar approach - combining fast, precise riffs with melodic leads.

Through his work with Debeli Precjednik, Budaić has performed on several releases and toured throughout Europe, contributing to the band’s reputation for energetic shows and a strong connection with the DIY punk community. Over the years, he has remained an active participant in the Osijek underground music scene and the broader Croatian punk movement.

Buda has been playing an FGN J-Standard Iliad JIL-RH/SB Silver Burst since 2014.

Introducing the artists who play our FGN guitars and basses!

Today’s featured artist is, Davor Bestvina from Croatia!

Davor Bestvina, also known by the nickname Davke, is a Croatian guitarist best known as a founding member of the Osijek punk rock band Debeli Precjednik (internationally known as Fat Prezident). Formed in 1993 in Osijek during the early years of the Croatian punk revival, the band became one of the most influential melodic hardcore and punk acts in the region.

Davke plays guitar and contributes backing vocals in the band, alongside vocalist Tin Kovačić, guitarist Ivan Budaić, bassist Igor Kovačević, and drummer Siniša Rajković. His energetic rhythm guitar style helps shape the band’s fast, melodic sound, influenced by classic punk and melodic hardcore bands.

Active with the group since its formation, Bestvina has performed on numerous releases and toured extensively across Europe, contributing to the band’s reputation for high-energy live shows and socially aware lyrics. Over decades of activity, Debeli Precjednik have released several albums and EPs and played hundreds of shows, becoming a key part of the Croatian and regional punk scene.

Within the band and the wider underground community, Davke is recognized for his long-standing dedication to punk music and for helping keep the Osijek punk scene active since the 1990s.

He went through a lot of other brands of guitars in the last more than 30 years but settled on his FGN Neo Classic NCLC-20E Black in 2011 and never looked back.

Joel Sastry is a versatile guitarist and producer with over 25 years of live and studio experience. Since 2012, he has been an in-demand session musician for Indian cinema, recording songs and scores in Telugu, Kannada, and Tamil films, alongside extensive work with independent artists worldwide. Beyond sessions, he composes, produces, and collaborates across genres, backed by endorsements from FGN Guitars, Bareknuckle Pickups UK, Headrush FX, D’Addario, Urban Classic, and Digimore.

Today’s featured artist is, Davide Aru from Italy!

Davide Aru is a distinguished Italian guitarist, arranger, and producer, celebrated for his versatility and musical sensitivity. Over the course of his career, he has collaborated with some of Italy’s most renowned artists, including Fiorella Mannoia, Alessandra Amoroso, Emma Marrone, Samuele Bersani, Raf, Andrea Bocelli, Max Gazzè, and Paola Turci.
A sought-after session musician, Aru has contributed to landmark recording projects such as Manifesto abusivo by Samuele Bersani, Il mondo in un secondo by Alessandra Amoroso, and Se veramente Dio esisti by Fiorella Mannoia. Beyond the studio, he has been involved in major television productions, including multiple editions of Amici di Maria De Filippi and the prestigious Rossini Opera Festival.
Currently, Aru serves as the artistic director for Alessandra Amoroso and is a respected faculty member at the Saint Louis College of Music.
