Liebe Alle,
Wie einige von euch schon wissen, wollte ich im Februar nach Kolumbien zur ersten XC-WM für Rollstuhlfahrer fliegen. Ich werde Daniel Schiess supporten. Den Piloten, der im Video mitgemacht hat, welches ich im Dezember schon geteilt habe mit euch.
Jetzt sind den Veranstaltern leider alle Sponsoren abgesprungen. Das hat damit zu tun, dass die Organisatoren - wheels for flying - es nicht geschafft haben, ihre Firma als NGO einzutragen, da sie auch Tandemflüge und Ausbildungen anbieten. Dies bedeutet wiederum, dass Sponsoren ihren Beitrag nicht von den Steuern abziehen können. Somit sind grössere Gleitschirm Hersteller wieder abgesprungen. Was schade ist. Das bedeutet nun, dass die WM wahrscheinlich nicht stattfinden kann. Dennoch wird ein Treffen für Rollstuhlpiloten organisiert.
Nur die Organisation der Transportbusse für die Rollstuhlfahrer kostet - selbst in Kolumbien - leider viel Geld.
Somit ist das Vorhaben auf Privatspenden angewiesen. Die Organisatoren haben eine GoFundMe Seite eröffnet.
Schaut es euch an, teilt es weiter und wenn ihr könnt, sind wir alle dankbar, wenn ihr einen kleinen Beitrag leisten könnt.

Dear all,
As some of you already know, I wanted to fly to Colombia in February for the first XC World Championship for wheelchair users. I will support Daniel Schiess. The pilot who took part in the video that I shared with you in December.
Unfortunately, all of the organizers' sponsors have now dropped out. This has to do with the fact that the organizers - wheels for flying - have not managed to register their company as an NGO, as they also offer tandem flights and training. This in turn means that sponsors cannot deduct their contribution from taxes. As a result, larger paraglider manufacturers have dropped out again. Which is a shame. This now means that the World Championship will probably not take place. Nevertheless, a meeting for wheelchair pilots is being organized.
Only organizing the transport buses for the wheelchair users costs a lot of money - even in Colombia.
The project is therefore dependent on private donations. The organizers have opened a GoFundMe page.

A week ago, several dreams came true. Once to fly through the Saas Valley. I flew over the Weissmies. A 4000m+ peak, which I was allowed to climb a few years ago. What a feeling to fly over it now. After that we could fly from Fiesch to Frutigen on Sunday. Crossing the Alps over the Finsteraarhorn. Gliding past the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau; over the Öschinensee with the Fründehütte. Unbelievable... Just grateful.
