Boozy, tropical and unapologetically bold. Mubuku Anaerobic Natural just landed on the East Coast 🇺🇬

In a joint effort, Anička from the Sucafina NV team and Ugacof designed a customized experimental process in Western Uganda to unlock the best this region has to offer. The Mubuku Washing Station, sitting one kilometer from a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with its drier, hotter climate and on-site QC lab, turned out to be the perfect environment for experimenting with anaerobic natural processing.

The result is an astonishing lot with tropical fruit, caramel and cacao nibs notes. Not many bags left, so call your trader before they're gone 🏃

Ever wondered what your MD was doing before... well, being an MD? In Conor’s case: coffee farming, finance and refereeing football matches in Colombia ⚽

Meet Conor Campbell, Managing Director of Sucafina Colombia and our latest People of Sucafina feature.

After four years leading finance across Colombia, Central America and Peru, Conor stepped into the MD role in mid-2025. Since then, he’s been getting even closer to every part of the business, from logistics and quality to building stronger partnerships with farmers and suppliers on the ground.

We chatted about leadership, learning to raise your hand when you don’t know something, why coffee people should spend more time on the road, and the very controversial topic of setting five morning alarms 😅

Has coffee from GRUPO COMSA made it into your lineup yet? 🇭🇳 Two of their Naturals have just landed on both coasts 👀

Since 2001, the coop has grown from 69 members to 1,200+ in Marcala, Honduras. Along the way, they never stopped reinvesting in the people around them.

For example:🎒🏫in 2017, they acquired a struggling private school next door to their wet mill and brought it back to life. Today, it runs on Montessori principles, dual language classes and scholarships for 80 to 90% of students, most of them children of cooperative members.

The cup is equally hard to ignore. Fruit-forward and bright, with strawberry, lemon, blueberry and grape 🍇 coming through clean.

Some amazing Rwanda lots are in New York 🇷🇼

Backed by soil health, seedlings, loans and training. And a real focus on getting women's cooperatives access to land and markets. Not just ticking boxes, genuinely building something.
