Thank you to everyone in our community, as well as those from all over the world, who have reached out to us to offer kind words and your support. We are so appreciative and grateful!

NBP has reopened! The areas of Regatta Island and the Playground remained closed for the time being:

- Regatta Island closure: The park is in good condition following the hurricane, with no severe damage or flooding. The select area closures are to allow us to clean up debris and ensure there are no hazards/obstacles in this area for walking, running and using the waterway

- Playground closure: We have a large 4 point shade structure that was partially removed in preparation for the hurricane. It needs to be professionally reinstalled. It currently hangs loosely across the playground, creating a potential safety hazard.

Please note that any event/meeting cancelations this week are NOT due to the facility's status. We are being sensitive and mindful of the personal challenges facing many people during this difficult time, as they work to rebuild and recover from this traumatic experience. Should an event be rescheduled, we will update the information on our events calendar: www.nathanbendersonpark.org/events
