On the final day of our Women’s Ventoux Discovery tour we got up at 0500 to climb Mont Ventoux from Malaucene.

Do you think it was worth it?

Day 4 of our Women’sMont Ventoux Discovery Tour. Heading around the base of the mountain. Route passes through the wonderful Gorges de Toulourenc before heading to Sault and then back down the Gorges de la Nesque.

Have you ever ridden here? Sometimes the roads around the mountain are better than the mountain itself!

One of the best rides I’ve had a in a long time this morning. Out before breakfast on our Women’s Ventoux Discovery Tour. No famous climbs, just a brilliant loop from Malaucene on deserted roads with views of Mont Ventoux and the surrounding countryside. Thanks

Did you get out on the bike this morning?

Yesterday was special for two reasons:

1) it was my birthday

2) this season’s new kit arrived from

Im really happy with it. A few tweaks from last year and the main difference being black shorts in place of last year’s green.

What do you think?

How can I get hold of some? I hear you scream at your phone.

Well you either come on one of our trips or drop me a message either here or on email and I’ll send some out to you.

We were recently on a trip in Mallorca and for one reason and another found ourselves on the bike path along the sea front. Not the optimum Mallorca cycling experience!

Is there a good time to ride this path? Or should it always be avoided? Let me know.

Simply beautiful ride today. Out to Nyon for coffee at .ch with Jim and Claudia. Then further to Aubonne before turning for home along the lake road. Lovely to be back on the bike after a couple of weeks in California snowboarding.

Did you get out there today?

If so, I hope you didn't bonk as badly as I did in the last hour or so. More food please ...

Get in touch if you fancy a trip out to Geneva for some of this cycling. Check the website for organised tours or message me for a bespoke option.

Borne Cycling Women’s Mont Ventoux Discovery
21-26 May 2026

Come conquer the Giant of Provence with Borne Cycling.

This women’s only cycling tour encompasses five days of wonderful Provencal cycling, including 2 different routes up to the summit of Mont Ventoux.

The rides are planned to challenge you on some of the best roads in the area. But they’re also designed to give you plenty of time to relax and enjoy the 3-star spa hotel and the bars and restaurants of Malaucene.

Along with riding twice up Mont Ventoux you will also explore the Gorges de la Nesque and ride a tour around the base of the “Bald Mountain”. Perfect to experience the roads the Women’s pro peloton will ride later on in 2026 in the Tour de France Femmes.

Highlights
* Climb Mont Ventoux twice: from Bedoin and from Malaucene
* Discover the incredible cliff road of Gorges de la Nesque
* Ride quiet Provencal roads around the base of Ventoux and beyond

Re-Borne

Hi everyone and happy new year. Whilst we’ve got fresh snow here in Geneva, and most of you are likely in an arctic freeze, why not think about spring and summer riding.

Go check out our new baby, aka our website. Link is in the bio.

If nothing else there’s load of lovely photos to remind you what riding your bike in summer is like, as well as over 50 blog posts taking in favourite routes, ride reports and general bike related musings.
