So proud of and happy for our former Young Festival Artist Matthew McDowell

We’re delighted to welcome our wonderful new violist, Matthew McDowell, to the Schumann Quartet.

As we continue our journey together, we look forward not only to the inspiration, artistry, and energy he brings, but also to many shared laughs, memorable moments, and new musical horizons along the way.

With great anticipation, we embark on this next chapter together.

Wir freuen uns von Herzen, unseren wunderbaren neuen Bratschisten Matthew McDowell im Schumann Quartett willkommen zu heißen.

Während wir unseren gemeinsamen Weg weitergehen, blicken wir mit großer Vorfreude auf die Inspiration, die künstlerische Ausdruckskraft und die Energie, die er mitbringt – ebenso wie auf viele schöne gemeinsame Momente, bewegende Augenblicke und das Entdecken neuer musikalischer Horizonte.

Wir freuen uns sehr auf ein neues Kapitel mit Matthew und viele gemeinsame Konzerte.

Renowned for her portrayals of Octavian, Cherubino, and Fricka, Anke Vondung continues to inspire audiences worldwide with her artistry and musical insight.

«Artists 2025»
We are delighted to welcome Werner Güra , the distinguished Munich-born tenor, to our festival this year. 
Renowned for his exquisite interpretations of Mozart, Schubert, and Schumann, he has appeared with the Berlin Philharmonic and Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, and is a professor at the Zurich University of the Arts.

We look forward to his performance of Italian Songbook by Hugo Wolf, «An die Ferne Geliebte» by Beethoven, «Schwanengesang» by Schubert and more!
