Our Story
The Philippines is comprised of 7,100 islands with 80 provinces and 170 different dialects. It is a small country, rich in natural beauty and the welcoming smiles of its people. No matter what time of year, visitors to our country will come across at least one of hundreds of festivals being celebrated in the Philippines. Each region in the Philippines has its own unique and colorful way of celebrating their distinct regional culture in yearly festivals. This rich cultural diversity among our Filipino people as well as our heartwarming hospitality is what we aim to showcase and share with others in our new home we call Winnipeg, Manitoba. This year’s festival will be on June 8th and 9th, 2019 at the Maples Community Centre/Sports Complex/Grounds - 434 Adsum Drive. The parade will start at 1:00 PM and the whole day festivities will continue until 10 pm. We are planning a feast for all your senses. Come and join our Manitoba Filipino Street Festival & Parade as we celebrate and share our rich culture with you!
