BC Film & Television Industry's Reel Thanks Challenge The REEL Thanks Challenge is an annual FUNdraising event, presented by the BC Film & Television Industry, in support of the Greater Vancouver Food Bank.

Structured like a contest, productions around BC compete to see who can raise the most money.

Congratulations to Team When Calls the Heart on being our Top FUNdraiser! During the competition, they raised $68,151 for the Greater Vancouver Food Bank with the help of their Daily Sponsor Challenge, Most Donations in a Day Challenge, and Best Social Media Challenge wins.

To highlight their sponsor challenge wins:
- They raised $31,599 between 9:00 am - 5:00 pm on Day 8
- They had 556 individual donations made between 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
- Their Reel Thanks Team Announcement Post received over 1,500 comments of support

The 2025 Reel Thanks Challenge has officially wrapped with $216,105 raised for the Greater Vancouver Food Bank. Funds raised this year will contribute towards the purchase of GVFB’s first ever permanent home in Vancouver.

We had another exciting day of FUNdraising! Congratulations to Team Every Year After on raising $9,165 between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm today to secure our Day 7 Sponsor Challenge win. They'll have $5,000 from today's sponsors, ICG 669 and MBS Equipment Company Canada Ltd, added to their total.

Our last Daily Sponsor Challenge of starts tomorrow at 9:00 am. Then after 5:00 pm, we'll announce the winners of our remaining sponsor challenges and crown our Top 5 FUNdraising teams! Tomorrow is sure to be another exciting day.
