Join us on Thursday, June 4, 6:00 – 8:00 PM for an evening of connection, culture, and conversation, featuring a keynote address by Bill Lomax, President and CEO of the First Nations Bank of Canada.

The evening will include a cultural performance, dinner, and prayer.

A member of the Gitxsan Nation, Bill Lomax began his career as a lawyer facilitating land claim negotiations for the BC Treaty Commission before going on to earn his MBA at Columbia University and spend 22 years working on Wall Street in private equity, with roles at firms Merrill Lynch and Goldman Sachs. He now leads the First Nations Bank of Canada, with a vision of building economic growth that is inclusive and sustainable for Indigenous Nations and communities across Canada.

With a career spanning Indigenous law, finance, and resource investment, Bill brings a rare perspective on what it takes to build equitable partnerships between Indigenous Nations and Canada's resource sector, making him the ideal voice for our Keynote Dinner.

Please note: Tickets for the Keynote Dinner are available separately from general conference registration.

The Indigenous Resource Opportunities Conference has a new look. The updated brand was built with intention, incorporating a new logo featuring artwork by Kwakwaka'wakw artist Cole Speck and typography that supports Indigenous language characters. It reflects the depth of dialogue this conference has fostered over the years and our commitment to the conversations still ahead. Our website has been completely redesigned to match the new look. We invite you to see what is new and join us June 3-5 in Nanaimo, B.C at the 10th Indigenous Resource Opportunities Conference.
