The final day of Toronto Folk Fest was all about togetherness and bringing together folk music from around the world to Ward’s Island.

We danced with the Tkaronto Métis Jiggers and fiddlers, learned about the trees with Pete Moss, Julie Title sang us folk songs about the environment. Seu brought Mexican laments to life, Zamira showed us love and heartbreak on the streets of Havana, Bobby Dove took us on a Canadiana road trip. Aysanabee dropped by for a surprise set!

We danced and celebrated life, love and togetherness with Less Toches and Kobo Town, and Rudy Ray Kwaku and band led a magical band procession on the ferry to return us to the real world. ✨

It’s been a beautiful three days of music, love and memories, and we’re delighted we could share it with you. 🩵

Day 2 of Toronto Folk Festival was a rollercoaster! We had rain, shine, intimate acoustic performances, singalongs, dancing, rousing indie rock, and even the birth of a brand-new trio!

mia kelly held the crowd in rapt attention at her first festival headline. We gathered round the Pavilion stage as artist and crowd became one while local legend Mike T. Kerr played. burs played a special semi-acoustic set, and Rachel Hickey EMILY SCHULTZ and Leah Holtom’s brand-new trio had a new percussionist: the thunder!

Thank you all for joining us in the rain yesterday, it was truly special.

Toronto Folk Festival 2026 Day 1!

Friday was our “community night”, and with folk music from all over the world and an incredibly supportive audience, we felt the community love.

Folk Fest is back today from 11 AM to 11 PM, get tickets on torontofolkfestival.com and come join us!

Toronto Folk Festival is happening this weekend! 🎶🌿

Head over to Ward’s Island for the Toronto Folk Festival, August 21–23. Grab a blanket, pack some snacks and spend the weekend listening to indie and grassroots artists in a laid-back island setting.

Getting there is easy: hop on the ferry from Jack Layton Ferry Terminal or take a water taxi from various spots along the waterfront. ⛴️

We are so excited to be taking over a little more of the island this year!

Two stages:
Pavilion Stage at the Ward’s Island Association
Outpost Stage and Market at the Island Outpost

We also included a map of Queens Quay to help you get over to Ward’s Island!

How to get there :

Ferry - You can take the Ferry from the Jack Layton Ferry Terminal (kids and seniors ride free, but still need to « buy » a ticket). We recommend buying your ticket in advance, all tickets to the island include return fare.

Pirate Taxi - Best Water Taxi Service in Toronto ⚓️🏴‍☠️ is our preferred water taxi and festival attendees get a special $13 fare! They are located at Harbourfront Centre and the bottom of Spadina.
