Theatre By Committee is a seven-member collective of Toronto-based theatre artists creating narrative-focused, contemporary work in found spaces. Committee members are driven by an ensemble approach that rejects role-specific or hierarchical models to create a truly collaborative working environment. First formed in 2014 under the monicker Bald Monkey, the collective produced a sold-out run of Eva

n Wade Brown's "A Tournament of Lies" for the Toronto Fringe (2015), and Christopher Durang's "'Dentity Crisis" for the Atlantic Fringe (2014). In summer 2015 following the success of "A Tournament of Lies," the collective underwent rebranding as Theatre By Committee (TBC) to better represent the operational values of the company.

Committee Member Kelly Anderson is keeping busy this Fringe! Don't miss her light and sound design for House of Rebels Theatre production Please Stand Clear at The Toronto Fringe

We're excited to share more about our upcoming production, and thought we would start by telling you a little about the team working on Please Stand Clear at The Toronto Fringe. We're starting with our Lighting and Sound Designer, Kelly Anderson!

Kelly Anderson is a graduate of York University’s Theatre Program, specializing in Design, Playwriting and Devised Theatre. Recently, she has been working as a playwright, set, costume, lighting and sound designer in theatre, film and escape rooms. She is the company designer for Theatre By Committee.
Upcoming: Stage Manager The Knitting Pilgrim (Toronto Fringe and touring).
Selected credits: Playwright and Production Designer Practice Drill (Theatre By Committee); Head of Props at Hart House Theatre 2018 Season; Production Designer for The Anndore House grand opening Best Kept Secrets (Theatre By Committee); Costume Designer Faust (Theatre by the Bay).
