Dynamic Triumph

Dynamic Triumph is a theatre company based in Toronto. As a company we aim to affect and inspire change by drawing on the inherently transformative potential of live theatrical events through a community sharing of breath, presence, movement, voice, and wildly imaginative storytelling. We seek to discover new norms of cultural thought and theatrical form through accessible, entertaining means.

We are Dynamic Triumph, a new theatre company comprising Artistic Directors Natalie Semotiuk and Tanya Elchuk, currently creating a new work, Heartbeat and Other Ways to Say I Love You in collaboration with Director's Soo Garay and Neil Silcox and Designers Kevin Feliciano and Chelsea Haraburda. Heartbeat and Other Ways to Say I Love You will premiere at the 2015 Toronto Fringe Festival. We have come together to work on this project after meeting during our tenure as MFA students at York University. Natalie, Tanya, Neil and Soo, all experienced theatre artists, will graduate from the Masters of Fine Arts program in Theatre (Acting) in spring 2015. Kevin Feliciano and Chelsea Haraburda are currently completing an undergraduate degree in Devised Theatre. Having spent the past two years in intensive exploration of self and theatrical practice and form during our studies at York, this project provides a venue for the further exploration and expression of our discoveries. It is a platform for application of the methodologies we have been developing, and for the creation of a narrative expression born of the raw materials of our personal journeys. Broadly, as a company we aim to affect and inspire change by drawing on the inherently transformative potential of live theatrical events through a community sharing of breath, presence, movement, voice, and wildly imaginative storytelling. For this play, we are also celebrating Ukrainian culture. Pierogies will definitely be involved.
