The Cabbagetown Neighbours Heritage Mural is a new mural on the south wall of the Cabbagetown LCBO store at 512 Parliament Street, just south of Winchester. The theme is a fusion of Victorian motifs and natural Cabbagetown elements and has been commissioned by the Cabbagetown BIA in honour of the 40th anniversary of the Cabbagetown Festival. The mural will be painted over the end of August and the

beginning of September and will be unveiled at the annual Cabbagetown Festival on Saturday, September 10. The Cabbagetown Neighbours Heritage Mural is a partnership between the Cabbagetown BIA, and St James Town Arts, with support from the City of Toronto, Meridian Credit Union and the residents of Cabbagetown. The Cabbagetown BIA with St James Town Arts and our helpful sponsors are excited to bring this true community project to life. Local residents not only helped devise what the mural should embody but picked up paint brushes and helped paint! This is a wonderful example of our community working together to create something with meaning for all to enjoy!

The 40th Anniversary is Sept. 10th -11th. Learn more on our blog post here:
