Day 14 ✔️

After 10+ days on Country 2 Road, we made it to the 338. Was quite exciting to cross the Québec border early this morning! The girls helped pace me threw Pointe-Lalonde, Saint-Zotique and Les Côteaux. We then opted for the narrow but beautiful Chemin du Fleuve route threw Coteau-du-lac, Les Cèdres et Pointe-des-cascades.

As we headed north toward Dorion it was hard to contain my emotions, realizing my adventure was coming to an end . (Those who know me will not be suprised... i was, of course, already planning my next challenge in my head by the time i arrived at Pont Taschereau 😂) So i didnt want to stop... I crossed the bridge and continued until the rain started.

Tomorow is the last day of this amazing journey i've been on for the last 2 weeks. 🤩😭😮😎💚

Day 13 ✔️

Another hot day on the road! We walked threw Cornwall using the bike path (and the shade it provided ❤️) and followed the Fleuve saint-Laurent to Glen Water and Summerstown. We stopped at a farm along the road to grab fresh produce and kept walking threw lunch. I was too worried i would not be able to restrart if i sat down🤣 Muscles are good to go but my feet are feeling every one of those 450km done. We veered north-east to Camerons Point and South Lancaster to finish the day.

Today was our last one in Ontario, as we are roughly 10km away from Québec! Tomorow we are going to Dorion ending just before Taschereau Bridge. Total 450 km

Day 12 ✔️

It felt really good to cross the 400km mark this morning. As we get further, the fear of the unknow and the fear of failure fade away, leaving only the joy of being healthy and able. I'm having a blast out there!

We made it threw Riverside Height, stopped for lunch at Upper Canada Village, then Ingleside and Lakeview Heights. Stopped at 30km today as we are a bit ahead of schedule for our plan to arrive at the Royal-Victoria Hospital around lunch time this saturday (july 22nd). Tomorow we will pass Corwall and end our day around Summertown or Camerons Point. Total 420 km

12th day in a row without any rain while running/walking in the day time!! Oh! Almost forgot, on this day 20 years ago, i was being discharged from hospital. So much to be grateful for. 💚

We crossed the 400 km mark this morning!! 😁😎🎉

Day 11 ✔️

I laught today as i caught myself saying " Bah! There's ONLY a little over 100km left, so..." only!!?? 🤣 Its all about perception i guess!

As we hear more and more french, see poutine on the menu and flags of the Montréal Canadiens... we can tell we are getting close to home. We got to follow the water again threw Jonhston, Cardinal and Iroquois. Discovered more spots/beaches to come back to later this summer, 2h away are less from Montreal 🤩 and finished the day in Morrisburg. Next main destination is Cornwall, we should make it to Lakeview Heights by tomorow night. Grateful for my four-legged pacer Nelson in the last 2 days, it already time for him and Louise to make the last switch of the journey. David is coming back tomorow for the remainder of the adventure!! ❤️❤️ Total: 390km

Another great day to be alive!!

Day 10 ✔️

What a treat it was today to run threw so much beauty ❤️ We reach Brockville early this morning and made quick work of Maitland, Bleu Church and Riverview Heights.
Big Thank you to the garage on Lyn Rd and County Road 2 in Elizabethtown-Kitley for fixing Louise's car blinker on the spot free of charge as a donation to our journey. 😍 After lunch we discovered Prescott and wexford, stopped at Katarina's Coffee Shop for ice cream and spend the aftenoon dreaming of having a chalet by the water 🤣😍

There was some amazing views, charming villages and neighborhood, our beautiful Saint-Laurent... wind in my back the whole time... just perfect! 😍 Total 359 km

Day 9 ✔️

Another switch of crew tonight 🙂 After a wonderful week-end with a large crew, it's my aunt Louise's turn to join me on the road for the next 3 days. From helping at various event/kiosque to taking part in 2 Canadians and 1 World Transplant Games as a Team supporter, Louise as been involved in promoting organ donation for many many years 💚

Today, we had a late start and walked together threw the last part of Gananoque before having to say goodbye to friends and family. I then made my way east toward Mallorytown, passed many lovely villages and ended my day around Butternut Bay. After a couple days struggling to run very far because of blisters, it was nice to be able to run most of the kms today! Total : 324 km

Day 8 ✔️

Wow! So grateful for this day!! I was so happy to see my brother, Véronique and my nephews arrived ❤️ around km 17 of the day. Such a fun, amazing pacer, cheerleaders and support crew! We walk/run together threw Milton, Eastview and the beautiful 1000 islands before making it to our destination in Gananoque. We got to spend lunch time at the beach 😎⛱️ Got surounded by butterflies, had a duck visit us and got to enjoy another sunny day. ☀️ Total 285 km
