The Greater Toronto Area Cup aka GTA Cup debuted in 2006 and has been a must-play for disc golfers ever since. Originally founded by Dustin Fournier, this Ryder Cup disc golf series is one of the longest running winter disc golf series in Ontario. Community supported and powered by volunteers, the GTA Cups mission is to provide local clubs and communities across the Greater Toronto Area an opportu

🏆The Greater Toronto Area Cup - 4 Teams. 4 Courses. 4 Events. 1 Champion. Teams from Brampton, Bronte, Toronto Island and Centennial take turns battling it out on their home courses in a team match play format. Over the course of 4 different rounds, a single point is awarded for each winning match, while a half-point is awarded to each team for a tied match. The team with the most points at the end of the fourth event wins the GTA Cup. Round 1: Modified Best Shot
Round 2: Modified Tough Shot (NEW for the 2023 Season)
Round 3: Alternate Shot

✨Course Spotlight - Toronto Island Disc Golf Course✨
As we move one step closer to the final stop on the GTA Cup tour at Toronto Island on April 15, 2023, we want to take a second to highlight the course and community.
Did you know…The Toronto Island Disc Golf Course was first approved in 1979, with basket installation occurring in 1980. Although the course has since undergone two redesigns (1999 by TIML roast master, Mr. Bee and 2007 by Mike Sullivan) the original course design almost 45 years ago was done by the one, the only, Steady Ed Headrick.
How cool is that?
Located on Ward’s Island, the course is long, challenging and world-class, with some water hazards and stunning views of the Toronto skyline. Generous gaps and tricky wind. Climo, Jenkins and Brinster all list it as one of their favourite courses.

Tee Pads: Asphalt
Baskets: Prodigy T1 (Pro DG T1) Targets
Holes: 18 Holes + 2 Practice Baskets
Available Layouts: 4 layouts - 2 tee pads (S+L) + 2 basket positions (S+L)
Classic Layout: Short To Long
Holes 4 and 9 play along the shoreline!
This course is FREE to play!
There are bathrooms located at the firehall (by Hole 1) and by Hole 15.
The course is about a 15 minute walk from Wards Ferry Dock!

⭐The Points Leader Going Into The Finals Are Your Defending Champs Team Spruce!⭐
The GTA Cup finals are always filled with teams trying to cement their place in GTA Cup History.
Here’s what our STATS Master Jeff Steeles had to say after our 3rd event at Centennial Park.
“After three events Spruce took the lead back from EDGE heading into the final event with a 1pt. lead. A big day from the women of Bronte see them lead the way for the team. Three out of the four top women are from Bronte, whereas no Bronte men are in the Top 10. A solid outing from Team Island saw them close the gap on the leaders. Should be an exciting final event on the Island.”

❤️ As we move closer to the next stop on the GTA Cup tour at Centennial Park on March 11th, we want to take a second to highlight the course and community.
Centennial Park DGC is an 18 hole premium disc golf course with long and challenging, manicured fairways and picturesque greens. You can find asphalt tee pads on both Red and Blue Tees, with professional Tee Signs to match - and multiple pin locations on each hole (occasionally moved).
Originally founded in 1979 by Ken Westerfrield,, it’s the home of Toronto Disc Golf - Canada’s longest running disc golf club. The TDGC community may have had different leaders over the decades, the values of the Toronto Disc Golf Club remain the same. Our goal is to foster the next generation of disc golfers by giving them a professional league environment to practise, play and perform.
The community currently offers 2 different leagues - Winter and Summer. They typically play Random Draw Best Shot Doubles with the occasional format switch (Best Score, Alternate Shot, Women’s Nights). We also offer PRO and AM divisions.
The Toronto Disc Golf Club is located at 151 Elmcrest Road, Etobicoke, ON.
Our SUMMER league runs May - September and we meet on MONDAYS. Tee off at 6PM.
Our WINTER league runs November - March and we meet on SATURDAYS. Tee off at 11PM.
Beginners are ALWAYS welcome.
