✨ Well… That Didn’t Go As Planned ✨
Tonight’s Lord Selkirk Regional Comprehensive Secondary School Awards Celebration had a bit of unexpected drama with the power outage. Because of that, a very special scholarship winner didn't get a chance to be recognized in the presence of her peers, family, friends and community.

But we still want to shine a big spotlight where it belongs!!

Drum roll....

🌟 Congrats to Laina Ostermann! 🌟
Laina is off to the University of Manitoba, diving into plant genetics — where she hopes to get into the field that helps create stronger, climate‑resilient seeds for prairie farmers. It’s the kind of work that quietly keeps the world fed, and choosing a path like that says a lot about her heart and her drive.

We’re seriously proud of her. If you cross paths with Laina, give her a high‑five, a hug, or a “way to go!” — she’s earned it.

Even with the lights out, we’re cheering loud for you, Laina. 💛
