The Children’s Festival of Saskatchewan is an arts-based Festival where our children play and learn!

Our festival kicks-off summer in Saskatoon, introducing thousands of young children to cultural events and dynamic public spaces created just for them. We welcome 10,000 eager children, parents, teachers, and caregivers through our gates for a fun-fueled four-day celebration of all things play! The children of Saskatchewan have been enjoying our festival for over 35 great years, whether that be at

our festival home in Kinsmen Park, or with our free Virtual Festival! We are proud to be an inclusive festival, offering multicultural programming that embraces all orientations and abilities. Our festival is reflective of our great community and will always promote children’s mental health while maintaining accessible programs for all children who aim to play and learn together. We acknowledge that in Saskatchewan we work and play on Treaties 2, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 10 land, which are the territories of the Nêhiyawak, Anihšināpēk, Dene, Dakota, Lakota and Nakota nations as well as the traditional homeland of the Métis people.

Wahoo! We are pleased to release the lineup for our 2026 Festival!

We are so excited to bring you a great mix of entertainment this year at Kinsmen Park in Saskatoon that’s fun for the whole family. We’re also pleased to bring our virtual festival back – lineup coming very soon!

Get your tickets now for our in-person festival in Saskatoon’s Kinsmen Park from June 4-7. Tickets include unlimited access to all shows and activities for the date of entry into the site. Kids under the age of 2 get in free.

Rockford is excited to be hosting his annual Cover Contest! He's looking for help from kids aged 2-12 to feature on the front cover of our 2026 Children's Festival digital programme! As usual, we’re looking for original artwork but NEW this year, you can also download and print our t-shirt template and have your kiddo design a fanciful t-shirt for Rockford! 👕

Participating in the contest is easy. Complete artwork on a full 8.5''x11'' piece of paper or download the t-shirt template (childrensfestsk.ca/contest) and scan or photograph it in colour and at the highest quality possible. Scan and email artwork to [email protected]. Please DO NOT submit via social media.

Our Story

The Nutrien Children's Festival is an annual event held in Saskatoon's beautiful Kinsmen Park, located downtown next to the Nutrien Playland along the South Saskatchewan River. Due to COVID-19, we have had to alter our planning this year. As such, we are moving our Festival online for the month of August. All month long, five days a week, we will be offering two workshops and/or performances a day for free for you and your little one to take part in. In short, we will be throwing a huge party for all the children of Saskatchewan and we’d love for you to attend! There will be theatre shows, musical acts, circus and cooking workshops, read-alouds, arts, crafts and science and so much more!
