Sangudo’s very first Regenfest was an absolute triumph! 🌿✨

The weekend wasn’t even over before the organizers announced that Part II will be returning on February 27–28, 2027 — and we couldn’t be more excited.

Heartfelt thanks to Holly, Amy, and Carol, to the dedicated volunteers, the inspiring presenters, and to all who travelled from near and far with open minds and eager spirits to learn and connect. Gatherings like this truly plant seeds for lasting change.

Here are a few glimpses from our corner of the festival:

🌱 The native garden building exercise during our Native Plant Tapestry presentation
🌾 Our table in the bustling vendor hall
🌳 Fellow presenter David Green, who did a wonderful job sharing insights on our local trees and shrubs — and how to prune them with care and wisdom

If you attended Regenfest and captured a few moments of your own, we would love to see them. Please share your photos in the comments below!

Thank You, Neighbours. 🌾

This weekend, something special happened.
You showed up.

You came with notebooks, jars, questions, stories, and open hearts. You learned. You pulled up chairs. You shared tips. You laughed over lunch. You made space for one another.

To every instructor who shared hard-earned knowledge.
To every work trader and helper who hauled tables, swept floors, and kept the coffee hot.
To every person brave enough to ask meaningful questions.

Thank you.

You proved what we hoped was true:
Community grows strong when hands work together.

This festival started as a longing for something real - practical skills, prairie wisdom, and a place where everyone belongs. Because of you, it became exactly that.

We’re so grateful you made our first Sangudo RegenFest not just an event, but a beginning of a community.

Here’s to good neighbours.
Good skills.
And good stories we’ll carry forward.

We’ll see you again soon. 🌻
Carol, Amy and Holly

We close ticket sales on Sunday night!

Not because we’re trying to be dramatic -
but because we have to plan the lunches. 🥣

We need to know how much soup to make, how many loaves to slice, and how many chairs to set out in the hall.

If you’re coming, grab your ticket before Monday so we can save you a bowl and a seat.

Good neighbours plan ahead.

🌾 One Week Until Ticket Sales Close 🌾
We’ll be gathering to talk land stewardship, permaculture, seed saving, small farm profitability, greenhouse growing, soil health, native plants, sheep, chickens, herbal gardens, , cold-climate gardening.

Some sessions are practical demonstrations.
Some are thoughtful conversations.
Some are planning and strategy you can take home and apply this season.

All of them are rooted in prairie life and shared learning.

We close ticket sales next Monday so we can finalize lunch numbers, prepare materials, and make sure each space feels welcoming and well cared for.

If this has been on your heart- come join us.

Good neighbours. Good skills. Good stories.

🧺 Make Your Own Chemical-Free Laundry Soap
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn why many families are switching from conventional detergents, mix your own simple batch, and head home with a sample and the know-how to keep making it.

Practical. Doable. Neighbour-taught.

We’ll say this plainly.
Community doesn’t build itself.

It doesn’t grow because we like the idea of it.
It grows because people decide to show up.

We’ve gathered an incredible lineup of speakers and teachers for Sangudo RegenFest - folks who carry real, lived skills. Soil wisdom. Herbal knowledge. Practical know-how that’s been tested in prairie wind and February cold.

But here’s the truth:
Workshops only come alive when the room is full.

You can read about resilience.
Or you can sit beside someone who’s lived it.

You can watch a video about seed saving.
Or you can learn it from the neighbour who’s been doing it for twenty years and will answer your “probably silly” questions without blinking.

This festival becomes what it’s meant to be when the chairs are filled by real people who want to learn.

If you’ve been thinking,
“I should probably get tickets…”
“I’ll see how busy we are…”
“I might come for one day…”

This is your nudge.

Pull it into the calendar.
Claim your seat.
Bring a friend.

Because without you, it’s just a spark.

With you, it’s a room full of skill, story, and steady strength.

Tickets are available now at sangudoregen.com and we’d love to see your name on the list.
