We witnessed community spirit at its absolute best tonight! 🙌🏻
What an amazing turn out for the Filomi Days meeting!
In 9 years that I’ve been on the committee, this is the biggest turn out I’ve ever seen!

Filomi Days facing possible cancellation – Decision by Feb 2

Board Chair, Treasurer and Secretary.
Duck Race coordinator
Information/First Aid Tent
Kids Events

Filomi Days is a long-running community festival run entirely by volunteers. Many of their long-time volunteers have stepped back, and despite repeated calls, no new volunteers have come forward.

Planning must begin at least six months in advance. Without volunteers confirmed by February 2, Filomi Days risks cancellation this year.

This is not a decision anyone wants to make. It is simply the reality of running a volunteer-led community event. Even a small time commitment can help keep this community tradition going.

Filomi Days 𝗡𝗘𝗘𝗗𝗦 𝗬𝗢𝗨! 🫵🏻

This festival has been part of our community for many years, thanks to a group of dedicated volunteers who have given countless hours to make it happen.
Some of those long-time volunteers are now stepping back, and they are inviting new faces to help carry this tradition forward.

If you have a bit of time, energy, or simply a love for this community, now is the moment to step in. Many hands make light work, and your involvement could make all the difference.

The next committee meeting is Monday, February 2, 2026 at the District of Port Hardy at 6:00 pm.
