A lot of media interest in our trip. I had an interview with CBC Halifax/Sydney today (Jul 12, 2018). I’d like to encourage donations to the Wounded Warriors Canada, so they can continue their work.

I had a wonderful interview with Sheldon MacLeod on his show at News 95.7 (Halifax) about our Sidney to Sydney trip on July 17th, 2018 - Thank you for your interest in our journey and Wounded Warriors fundraiser.

SYDNEY — While planning his cross-Canada journey, Oliver Javanpour liked the sound of flying from Sidney to Sydney.

The first part of the trip was a personal journey to pay tribute to those whom I knew personally and lost. When it came time to undertake the second part, I thought we could help an organization involved in helping those who are here with us and who have devoted themselves in the same way as those in WWII. I decided to support Canadian men and women who dedicated themselves to preserve our way of life and freedom of others around the globe. The best tribute we can all pay to veterans is to support them and their families: Honour the Fallen, Help the Living. When I saw the Wounded Warriors Canada motto, I decided that our trip needed to do more than be a flight of personal tribute, it also needed help the living. Wounded Warriors Canada fit the bill with their wonderful work with the veterans and the first responders. What attracted me to the Wounded Warriors Canada, was the significant work and attention paid to mental health of our veterans and first responders. Please give to Wounded Warriors. They provide programs to help veterans and their families adjust to life after their service to their country and us.
