Meet local Lindy Hoppers and instructors Stephanie and Jasper!
Stephanie brings decades of vernacular jazz experience and dedication to the dance floor. She fell hard for jazz dance and music in Vancouver, spending nearly a decade in the Pacific Northwest as a dancer, teacher, performer, choreographer, DJ, and community builder. Inspired by jazz music, culture, and the incredible connections these inspire between people, she founded and ran Lindy Bout, the Lindy Hop Championships in Western Canada. After moving to Toronto, she kept right on going, teaching classes and workshops with local companies and organizations, performing, and sharing her love of jazz dance at events across the city. Though she’s slowed down some, she's thrilled with every opportunity to spread knowledge, appreciation, and enthusiasm about lindy hop and vernacular jazz.
Jasper has been swing dancing since 2009. He has performed, taught, traveled, and competed frequently. He values variety, risk, exploration, and playfulness. As a teacher he focuses on helping dancers grow into the best versions of themselves.
