He grew to manhood on a neighbouring farm and is buried in the Leith churchyard, next to the concert venue, the Historic Leith Church. The concerts are presented in the sanctuary of the pre-Confederation Leith ‘Auld Kirk', a small, intimate chamber with an incredible sound and ambience.
