Encore une fois, l’automne nous amène le canard et ses nombreux amis pour célébrer dans les r
ues de Knowlton le festival Canard en fête à Lac Brome. De l’argousier aux délices de l’érable, du vin régional aux bières artisanales, le canard est encore bien entouré cette année. Des menus très diversifiés sauront aiguiser votre appétit durant les weekends de 17-18 et 24-25 septembre et les rues seront animées par les présentations de nombreux talents culinaires et artistiques de notre région. Producteurs agricoles exposeront et vendront leurs marchandises en bordure des chemins Knowlton et Lakeside. Le site principal du festival sera au Parc Coldbrook où les visiteurs pourront s’attarder au bistro de la Ferme des Canards pour savourer les « hot ducks » et brochettes servis par la ferme. Toutes ces activités se déroulent entre 10 heures et 16 heures. Dans le village, tous les restaurants participeront au festival Canard en fête ainsi que ceux de tout Lac-Brome. Cet évènement met au défi les chefs de Lac-Brome de créer de nouvelles façons d’apprêter nos produits locaux et régionaux en mettant l’accent sur le canard et les vins régionaux. Ceux-ci offriront un menu spécial Festival qui saura titiller vos papilles gustatives avec leurs nouvelles recettes mettant en valeur nos produits du terroir. THE “BROME LAKE DUCK FESTIVAL” CELEBRATES
DUCK, WINE AND ALL THINGS DELICIOUS

Autumn will once again see the duck and all its edible friends celebrated in the streets of Knowlton with the annual Brome Lake Duck Festival. Organized by a group of local merchants, the festival will highlight and promote the great variety of different gourmet products produced in the Eastern Townships. Recognized as one of Quebec's "most beautiful villages", Knowlton is the destination of choice for a week-end or week get-away, particularly in autumn when the leaves reveal their glorious fall colours. The town is also blessed with many inns and B & Bs that know how to pamper their visitors. Brome Lake duck, joined by producers of everything from Sea Buckthorn to maple-flavoured delights, and artisanal beers and regional wines, will be on the minds and menus come September 17-18 and 24-25 the streets of downtown Knowlton fete the agricultural and artistic talents of the region. The street festival will see agricultural producers showing and selling their wares along the sidewalks of Knowlton and Lakeside Roads. The center point of the Festival will be Coldbrook Park where visitors can visit the Brome Lake Duck Farm bistro and savour a “hot duck” or brochette, hot off the grill. Hours for the festivities are 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. All the restaurants in the village, as well as those in all of Brome Lake, are participating in the Festival by offering new and different ways to use local and regional products while focusing on duck and regional wines.
