🎣 A NEW ERA BENCHMARK 🎣

Team #22 — Branko & Irena Mamula — set the bar for the CPR era at the Kenora Walleye Open.

Their Day 1 big fish measured 32.25” — 12.25 lbs on the official KWO conversion chart, making it the biggest walleye recorded since KWO moved to Catch-Photo-Release.

Can anyone touch it on Day 2? We’ll find out today — overall champion is decided by combined weight across both days.

🎣 DAY 1 IN THE BOOKS — 2026 KENORA WALLEYE OPEN
Presented by GNB Doors, the Big Fish board is stacked heading into Day 2. Leading the way: Team #22, Branko & Irena Mamula, with a 32” trophy walleye — good for 12.00 lbs on the official KWO conversion chart.
Quick refresher on the format: each team’s daily bag is 3 walleye under the 43cm slot (best 3 count) plus 1 trophy fish over 70cm. Every fish over 70cm is measured by length, then converted to weight using the official chart — no big fish leave the spot they were caught.
Day 1 sets the stage, but it’s only half the story. Day 2 is tomorrow, and the overall champion is decided by combined weight across both days. Plenty of room for the leaderboard to flip.
