What a great day yesterday! The amount of ppl that came out to support was amazing! Thank you all so much for a very successful day. Good times were had that’s for sure!
The memories that were shared with one another was great. We captured some via video, the memory book but there was just so many great stories to listen to from players back to the 50’s. It was fun to listen to and in a lot of cases you could see the youthfulness come out in that individual telling their story.
The bonds of hockey was once shown again in all these friendships that have lasted 70 plus years and it a lot of cases were only made due to being teammates. Or that you came to support someone else and made a life long friend in the stand cheering for the Hawks. The 63 and 88 winning teams still have a chemistry you can feel when around a few in that group. Was a joy to see the boys and ladies back together!
