🇮🇹 Already know some Italian? Put it to work before your next trip to Italy.

The ICCA's Italian Language for Travel course starts June 29, 2026!

This course is for learners who already have some Italian (A2–B2 level) and want to feel genuinely confident using it while travelling. No grammar drills. No textbook stress. Just real, practical conversation practice for real travel situations.

You'll learn and practice things like:
✈️ Getting around - trains, taxis, airports
☕ Ordering at bars, cafés & restaurants
🛍️ Shopping for clothes, groceries & more
🏨 Booking hotels & accommodations
🚑 Handling emergencies, pharmacies & unexpected moments
💬 Everyday conversations & introductions

Classes run on Zoom - easy and flexible. The final class is in-person at the ICCA on August 31, where you'll put it all together with guided, travel-style conversation practice.

The Italian Canadian Cultural Association was filled with members, guests and friends tonight to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Italian Republic.

Thank you to all the who attended, and we cannot thank the Coach Vanni enough for helping us overcome the tech issues when it came to playing the anthem!

We are pretty sure that leading the Italian Canadians in Nova Scotia singing the national anthem of Italy was not on his job description, but he delivered like a champion!

It was a beautiful way to celebrate 🎉 the Festa della Repubblica with all our voices together! Viva L’Italia!

Ciao a tutti!
June 2nd is one of the most important dates in modern Italian history. In 1946, Italians voted in a national referendum to decide the future of the country after World War II. The result led to the birth of the Italian Republic, replacing the monarchy.

In Italy, the day is celebrated with official ceremonies, traditional parades in Rome and all the other major cities, and the famous flyover by the Frecce Tricolori, which paint the sky green, white, and red, the colors of the Italian flag.

Il 2 giugno è una delle date più importanti della storia moderna italiana. Nel 1946, gli italiani votarono in un referendum nazionale per decidere il futuro del paese dopo la Seconda Guerra Mondiale. Il risultato portò alla nascita della Repubblica Italiana, sostituendo la monarchia.

In Italia, la Festa della Repubblica viene celebrata con cerimonie ufficiali, la tradizionale parata militare a Roma e nelle altre grandi città, e il sorvolo delle Frecce Tricolori, che colorano il cielo con il verde, il bianco e il rosso della bandiera italiana.
