This year marked Suramya’s 10th year being part of Guelph New Year celebrations as a dedicated trainer for our children. For the past years she has generously volunteered her time and shared her knowledge with so much patience and passion.

Although she is not a professional teacher by occupation, her commitment, consistency, and love for the children is truly appreciate. 🙏✨

Isuri Wijerathne holds a Master’s degree in Mathematics. She is not a professional dance teacher by occupation; rather, she offers her time and knowledge purely on a voluntary basis. Having learned Kandyan dance during her school years, she is now generously passing on her skills to the younger generation as a service to the community .🩷🩷 We truly appreciate her commitment and dedication to supporting and uplifting our community. 🙏🙏

We are excited to invite you to the Guelph Multicultural Festival this Saturday, June 14th at 7 PM, where around 40 talented Sri Lankan kids will take the stage to perform beautiful Sri Lankan Traditional Dances! 💃🕺
We are proud to announce that this is the second time our Guelph New Year Dance Teams will be performing at this wonderful festival! 🎉

🎉 We are proud to present the Traditional Sri Lankan Dances 🇱🇰 performed at the Guelph Children’s New Year Celebration held on April 4th, 2025!
✨ A total of 5 beautiful dance performances showcased the richness of our culture, with the enthusiastic participation of over 40 children. The dedication and spirit of these young performers were truly inspiring.
🙏 A heartfelt thank you to all the amazing dance teachers who trained the kids with such passion and commitment — all within a short time!
💫 These performances were a celebration of our shared heritage of both Tamil and Sinhalese cultures, and we are so proud to see such incredible talent coming together in harmony.
Let’s continue to share, celebrate, and preserve our culture for generations to come! ❤️
