Blackthorn Festival 2026 ๐ช
We have finally come back to reality after a very successful Blackthorn Festival 2026, and we just want to say a few thank yous.
First of all, thank you to all the bands and artists for playing out of their skins and keeping the tunes going from early in the day right through to the close of the festival.
A huge thank you as well to everyone who came along over the weekend, supported the festival, and helped create such a brilliant atmosphere across both days. Your support means a huge amount to us.
We would also like to thank our sponsorship contributed and for their support over the festival, it was very much appreciated ๐
Thank you also to the various groups and committees that helped make the weekend run smoothly:
* Hawthorn Bar and staff for manning the bar over the weekend
* The Order of Malta, who were always present and professional throughout the weekend
* Security staff for keeping things under control on both nights
* Mullins Funfair for keeping the crowd entertained over the weekend
* Con Murphy & LOF Productions for capturing all the magic moments
Lastly, the Blackthorn Festival and Gracefield GAA committees would like to send a massive thank you to the countless volunteers who contributed their time and effort to getting the site ready and keeping both days running without a fuss.
You are the reason why this yearโs festival, and all previous yearsโ festivals, have been such a success, and we want to show our appreciation to every one of you who contributed to:
* preparing the site
* checking tickets
* stocking the bar
* cooking the food
* selling tokens
* manning the shop
* cleaning before, during, and after the festival
* and the many other tasks that contributed to making the weekend such a success
