We are all set up in the cozy greenhouse café at Sunshine Coast Nursery! Come take a break from the rain to check out our featured artists and grab some grub to fuel your crawl. Something for everybody, we have caramel apples, caramel popcorn and cold brew to go as well as hot soup and savoury offerings from Heart and Sol Coastal Farm, hot chocolate and farm goods from Moon Gate Farm.

The Art Crawl debuts today, connecting Gambier Island to Earls Cove. Join us at the Nursery to appreciate the impressive craftsmanship of our diverse artisan community and sample savory cuisine, treats and refreshments.

Our hearts are so full. This idea had been swirling around for a long time and there was no way we could have predicted how much curiosity, learning and love we would be met with.

We had the opportunity to bring ice cream science to the classroom this week and it was a “garden to gullet” whirlwind of learning fun! Primary students from two classrooms came together to discuss sustainable harvesting from their on site organic food garden, scientific principles involved in making frozen treats and eco conscious decisions that small businesses can make producing and marketing these treats to consumers.

Oh, there was also *generous* sampling of vegan, nut free strawberry rhubarb sorbet and dark chocolate sorbet churned right in the classroom. Their patience waiting in line was notably impressive!

We came away with so much respect and admiration for the thoughtful 6-9 year olds that bring unrelenting enthusiasm to their learning each and every day. These are humans with deep, burning passion and thirst for knowledge. We are beyond excited to see what these change makers bring to our world in the coming years.

Huge thanks to Ms. Michy, Mrs. Kennedy and their team of education assistants that made our visit such a success!
