A summer shaped by place.

The Place to BE is a growing collection of immersive sound experiences shaped by environment and location.

Over the coming weeks I'll be bringing these experiences to a collection of distinctive environments across Northern Ireland.

Each experience is shaped by the environment, creating a different relationship with sound, space and self.

Together, they offer different ways to slow down, listen differently and experience place in a new way.

A SPACE to BE

Last night I returned to the dome at Armagh Planetarium to deliver Sound Journey Under the Stars.

There’s something very special about working within a space like this, where sound, visuals and environment come together to create a different kind of experience.

It is both an experience, and a performance.
A curated environment shaped through sound, space and stillness.

My intention is always to create the conditions for a calm, spacious and immersive experience, while recognising that each person will receive it in their own way.

At the end, someone said to me:

“You set me on my pathway with sound many years ago… I love what you do because you make this accessible to people of all ages.”

Another shared that although they had attended sound baths before, they had never experienced one like this.

That stayed with me.

While sound baths are one way of experiencing sound, not every experience fits neatly into that description.

This is a sound experience.

What it becomes is shaped by individual experience.

My role is not to shape that for you,
but to design and hold the space for it to unfold.
