Expect twelve exciting shorts that are sure to make you laugh, smile, think, and maybe tear up a little. Come early to chat with the filmmakers and grab a slice 🍕

Coming up on Tuesday, March 3: Campbell River Festival of Film: Local's Showcase. Northern Vancouver Island is full of talent, and this night proves it.

Join us for the Campbell River Film Festival Locals Showcase featuring a lineup of short films created by filmmakers right here in our region. Expect a mix of genres, big creativity, and local stories told with seriously impressive skill.

Stick around after the screening to meet and chat with the filmmakers in attendance, ask questions, and hear what inspired the work.

And when you support CRFF, you’re supporting local artists in a real way, the festival helps emerging filmmakers through scholarships and opportunities to grow their craft. Come celebrate the stories being made in your own backyard.

Based on a true story, Köln 75 follows 18-year-old Vera Brandes as she defies her conservative parents to organize a 1975 concert by Keith Jarrett in Cologne. Despite near failure, the impromptu performance’s recording becomes the iconic The Köln Concert, a landmark of 20th-century music.
