We’re excited to welcome Tannis Slimmon and Lewis Melville to The Vill on Saturday, September 19 - with special guest Drew McIvor opening the evening!

Described by Exclaim! as “a breathtaking vocalist,” Tannis has spent decades captivating audiences through her solo work, countless collaborations and performances with the acclaimed trio Boreal.

She’ll be joined by her partner, Lewis Melville - a celebrated composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist with deep roots in Canada’s independent music scene.

Together, they bring beautiful songs, remarkable musicianship and the kind of natural connection that makes an intimate live performance truly special.

With Drew McIvor starting the night, this promises to be an unforgettable evening of Canadian songwriting and musicianship.

This October, The Vill welcomes the incomparable Lotus Wight for an evening unlike anything you've experienced before.

Part musician, part storyteller, part musical historian, Lotus weaves together folk, blues, ragtime, and old-world Americana into performances that feel both timeless and completely original. Armed with banjo, guitar, jaw-harp, and the remarkable contra-bass harmoniphoneum, he creates an atmosphere that's equal parts front-porch gathering, concert, and unforgettable journey through music's rich history.

His songs have been praised for sounding like long-lost classics, while his performances have captivated audiences from the Shetland Islands and Turkey to Denmark, the Netherlands, and across North America. Meredith Moon described seeing Lotus perform as "equal in marvel to reading a good book you absolutely cannot put down."
